  • If you're treating your guests to a sit down meal, wine will form an integral part of your celebration. Typically, during a three course meal, we see wedding parties get through approximately half to two thirds of a bottle of wine per head - especially taking into account the earlier welcome or reception drinks. When the dancing starts after dinner, wine consumption always drops dramatically - especially the reds.

  • If you have opted for our Open Bar package or our great value Subsidised Cash Bar, we'll invite you to a personalised wine tasting to choose your perfect drop. We want to make sure that your wedding reflects you as a couple, and choosing wines you both love is integral to that.

    If you are supplying your own wines, we'd recommend tasting with your merchant. Think about the food you are serving and consider the season too. What is perfect for a balmy July afternoon won't make sense for a cosy December wedding!

  • The most popular grape variety by hectares of plantation is actually Carbernet Sauvignon. And for white grapes, it's Airen - a Spanish variety used in blends and in the production of brandy. The most popular white grape for single varietal prduction is Chardonnay.

    However - wine is completely subjective. Your tastes are your tastes - and trying to please all 100+ guests at your celebration will be a daunting task. Choose wines that are approachable, not overly complex, refreshing and more-ish (quaffable!) and you won't go wrong.

  • Yes! We have access to some excellent non-alcoholic wines. we believe that weddings and events should be fully inclusive and that non drinkers deserve better than just sugary sodas!
